A leisurely walk on the grounds of St. Michael's church focusing on its trees: to explore their habits, discuss their suitability for urban spaces, and admire their beauty.
Learn to identify trees at McConnell Springs by leaves, bark, thorns, seeds and other distinctive characteristics. This program will include a guided walk at a leisurely pace.
Guests will learn about non-native invasive species and their threats to forests; they will also learn about methods used to control those species. This hike is moderately strenuous.
Join arborist Jess Slade for a guided walk through the Meadowthorpe neighborhood to learn about some of the unique and veteran trees that line our streets.
