Learn how to grow native plants from seed! In this hands-on workshop led by Jess Slade, attendees can expect to learn when and how to collect native seeds of various species, seed cleaning tools and techniques, and how to prepare different kinds of seeds for germination in the spring. Attendees will take home some native seed to grow on their own.
This event will take place both indoors in the Dorotha Oatts Visitor Center and outside on The Arboretum’s grounds (where we will be collecting seed!)
Space is limited and advanced registration is required. Email arboretum@uky.edu to register.
